Marketing Courses in Singapore

Quick Answer

There is no best marketing course in Singapore. There is a best course for your situation, and the thing that decides it is usually funding rather than curriculum.

If you are a Singapore citizen aged 40 or over, the S$4,000 mid-career credit only applies to a handful of these options, and most short digital marketing courses are not among them. That single rule changes the real cost of two otherwise similar courses by thousands of dollars.

Short version. For a two-day skill top-up, the WSQ courses from OOm Institute, Equinet Academy or ASK Training land between roughly S$115 and S$650 after subsidy. For a structured certificate over several months, SMU Academy’s Professional Certificate comes to about S$1,219 for citizens over 40. For a full academic qualification, SUSS runs a Graduate Diploma in the evenings and at weekends. For a career change with training allowance attached, the SCTP programmes at NUS, SMU and ASK Training are the only route.

All fees below are as published on each provider’s own site, checked 30 September 2026.

What Changed This Year

Three things, and all three are still being reported wrongly elsewhere.

General Assembly has left consumer training. They stopped taking new individual enrolments on 28 April 2026 and now sell AI training to enterprises only. Their Singapore course pages are still live and still appear in search results, with no scheduled dates. If you find one, it is not a course you can enrol in.

SkillsFuture Singapore is now the Skills and Workforce Development Agency. You will see SWDA on the official portal and on provider fee tables where it used to say SSG. Nothing about your entitlement changed, only the name.

The old S$500 top-up has expired. The one-off additional credit issued in 2020 lapsed on 31 December 2025. Some provider pages still tell learners they can use it. There are now exactly two credit tiers, below.

How the Funding Actually Works

This is the part worth getting right, because it moves the price more than any course comparison does.

The two credit tiers

Base tier

S$500

Mid-career tier

Singapore citizens aged 40+

S$4,000

Selected courses only

None

The word “selected” is doing an enormous amount of work in that second row, and it is the most commonly misreported fact in this whole subject.

The S$4,000 does not cover most short courses

It applies to five categories only: full qualifications from Institutes of Higher Learning and shorter modules that stack into one, MOE-subsidised qualifications from arts institutions, SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme courses, courses tied to Progressive Wage Model training requirements, and Workplace Literacy and Numeracy courses.

Applied to the options in this guide:

Eligible for the S$4,000: the NUS Bionic Digital Marketer, SMU Academy’s SCTP Advanced Certificate, ASK Training’s 307-hour programme, the SUSS Graduate Diploma, and polytechnic diplomas.

Not eligible, base S$500 only: SMU Academy’s Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing, Vertical Institute’s bootcamp, OOm Institute’s WSQ courses, Equinet Academy’s standalone courses, and the Google certificate on Coursera.

Vertical Institute states this on its own page, to its credit. Others do not.

The two subsidies that do the heavy lifting

Most of the discount you see in the tables below is not credit at all. It is course fee subsidy, and it works differently.

Baseline SWDA funding covers up to 70% of course fees for citizens and permanent residents aged 21 and over on supported courses.

The Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy lifts that to up to 90% for citizens aged 40 and over on SWDA-supported courses, split into two tiers depending on whether the skill is classified as emerging or general upskilling. You have to qualify for baseline funding first.

So a citizen aged 40 or over typically pays around 10% of a WSQ course fee, and a citizen under 40 or a PR pays around 30% to 50%. That gap is why almost every fee table below has two or three rows.

Training allowance, for long-form training only

If you are a citizen aged 40 or over doing selected long-form training, there is also a Mid-Career Training Allowance. Full-time study pays 50% of your average monthly income over the preceding 12 months, with a floor of S$300 and a ceiling of S$3,000 a month. Part-time pays a flat S$300 a month. There is a 24-month lifetime cap.

This matters more than any tuition discount if you are stopping work to retrain, and it is one of the reasons the SCTP programmes are worth considering despite their headline fees.

Lowest fees shown are the maximum-funding figure, which usually means a Singapore citizen aged 40 or over. Read the individual entries for the tier that applies to you.

If You Want a Full Academic Qualification

SUSS Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing

Thirty credit units over one year, with a maximum candidature of two years. Classes run on weekday evenings or at weekends, which is the point: it is built for people who are working.

The curriculum is the deepest of anything here, and notably current. Alongside SEO, SEM, social media, content, mobile and influencer marketing, it includes a course on content creation with generative AI and one on prompt engineering for marketers. It also prepares learners for Google Ads, Google Analytics and HubSpot certifications.

It stacks, which is the real argument for it. A Graduate Certificate of 15 credit units stacks into this diploma, which stacks into a Master of Digital Marketing or a Master of Management. You can stop at any level with a qualification in hand.

Entry requires meeting SUSS graduate admission criteria plus a CV, with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 to complete. Volunteering or outreach experience is treated as an advantage.

Two important limits. The programme cannot accept international students; you need to be a citizen, permanent resident or resident in Singapore on something like an Employment Pass. And the fee is not published on the programme page, which links out to graduate tuition tables that we could not read reliably. Contact SUSS directly for the figure that applies to you rather than trusting a number from a comparison article, including ours.

Best for: working marketers who want a recognised qualification rather than a certificate, and who may later want the Master’s.

If You Are Changing Careers

The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme courses are a different category. They are long, they carry the S$4,000 mid-career credit, and they are the only ones that come with a training allowance if you study full-time.

NUS Bionic Digital Marketer: Enhanced with AI

88.5 hours over nine modules, in person at Kent Ridge. Next run 13 October to 30 November 2026. S$13,080 including GST, falling to S$1,308 after maximum funding.

Nine modules covering value-based marketing, consumer behaviour, brand alignment, an AI reimagination workshop, strategic search marketing, content marketing with AI and user-generated content, display advertising with generative AI, marketing ROI, and a capstone project.

Aimed at marketing managers, consultants, business owners and people moving into a marketing role. The award is a certificate, not an academic qualification.

One note if you compare listings: the MySkillsFuture entry shows S$12,000, which is the figure before GST.

SMU Academy Advanced Certificate in Digital Marketing

Eight modules on campus. S$20,928 including GST, falling to as low as S$1,478.40.

The fee tiers are worth setting out because they differ more than most:

You are

You pay

Citizen under 40, or PR

S$6,278.40 (up to 70% funding)

Citizen aged 40+

S$2,438.40 (up to 90% with the enhanced subsidy)

Citizen qualifying for additional funding support

S$1,478.40 (up to 95%)

That last tier applies if you have been unemployed for six months or more, receive ComCare or Workfare Income Supplement, or are a person with disabilities.

Entry requires at least two years of working experience plus a mandatory online interview, a letter of commitment and an acknowledgement form. You need 75% attendance and a pass in all eight modules.

Its start date is currently listed as “to be advised”, so check before you plan around it.

ASK Training, 15 modules over 307 hours

S$20,263.10 including GST, falling to S$1,431.43 with maximum support.

This is the longest programme here by a wide margin, and the module list is the most granular: digital marketing essentials, digital advertising, social media, SEO, analytics, WordPress site creation, copywriting, content creation, Facebook and Instagram, Google Ads, landing page conversion optimisation, generative AI for marketing, video marketing, TikTok marketing, and a capstone campaign project with real client work and a portfolio.

Fee tiers: 70% baseline brings it to S$6,078.93; the mid-career subsidy or SME sponsorship brings it to S$2,360.93; additional funding support brings it to S$1,431.43.

Entry requires WPLN Level 6 or a C6 in O-Level English, at least three O-Level passes, and good computer literacy. Candidates aged 30 or over with eight or more years of relevant experience are considered without the academic requirements.

One thing to clarify before you enrol. ASK Training runs two websites that describe what appears to be this same programme, at the same fee with the same 15 modules and 307 hours, under two different qualification names and two different schedules. One calls it a Diploma in Digital Marketing and states it is not a WSQ qualification, taught full-time on weekdays. The other calls it a WSQ Diploma in InfoComm Technology with a WSQ Statement of Attainment, taught over about four months on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Ask them which award and which schedule applies to the intake you are joining.

If You Want a Structured Certificate Alongside Work

SMU Academy Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing

Six modules to complete within three years. Next intake 22 October 2026. Full fee S$10,464 including GST.

You are

You pay

Citizen under 40, PR, or LTVP+

S$3,139.20

Citizen aged 40+

S$1,219.20

Employer-sponsored, SME

S$1,219.20

International participant

S$10,464, no funding

Every module in the October to December 2026 intake is synchronous e-learning, so you can do it without being on campus. No academic entry requirement is stated.

Modules cover social media marketing, search engine marketing, building a WordPress site for conversion, video content, persuasive copywriting with chatbots and email, and display content.

Two practical notes. The award is a digital Professional Certificate, not an academic qualification. And your SkillsFuture Credit is claimed through SMU Academy’s own payment portal within 60 days of the course starting, not through the SkillsFuture site, which catches people out.

This course takes the base S$500 credit only, not the S$4,000, because the modules are short courses rather than a stacked qualification.

If You Want a Short, Specific Skill

This is where most people should start, and where the funding works hardest.

OOm Institute

Seven WSQ courses, two days each, all at the same price: S$1,088 before GST, plus S$97.92 GST.

You are

You pay

Citizen aged 21 to 39, or PR aged 21+

S$641.92 (50% subsidy)

Citizen aged 40+

S$424.32 (70% subsidy)

The seven cover mastering GEO and SEO for search visibility, Google marketing campaigns, social media presence, Google Analytics, content strategy, content and affiliate strategy for social commerce, and short-form video for social commerce.

The GEO and SEO course is worth singling out, because generative engine optimisation is barely taught anywhere yet and it is where search is moving.

Entry requirements are deliberately light: basic computer competency and basic English. You get an OOm Institute certificate plus a WSQ Statement of Attainment, with 75% minimum attendance and a pass required.

Worth disclosing: OOm is a competing agency to us, and its training arm is a legitimate WSQ provider. We have included it on the same basis as everyone else.

Equinet Academy

Not a diploma provider. Equinet awards its own “Certified” programme certificates plus SkillsFuture-accredited WSQ Statements of Attainment. Anyone telling you otherwise, including our own earlier version of this page, was wrong.

Their catalogue runs to 29 individual courses, mostly one to two days, plus five certification programmes: Certified AI Content Creator, Certified AI-Enabled Digital Marketer, Certified Digital Marketing Analyst, Certified SEO Specialist, and Certified Social Media Marketing Specialist.

The best documented is Certified AI-Enabled Digital Marketer: three modules, 40 hours, in person, 2 to 17 November 2026. Full programme fee S$1,855.20 with GST absorbed, or from S$556.56 before GST after maximum modular funding.

Read that “from” price carefully. It assumes maximum funding on every fundable module, and funding eligibility varies module by module on this programme. Modules two and three carry WSQ credentials; module one is where the caveat sits. Individual modules run from about S$264 to S$799 after the bundle discount.

Content covers digital marketing foundations, applying ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, integrated strategy, GA4 analytics, and channel tactics across SEO, social, content and email. No prior AI or marketing experience needed.

ASK Training, WSQ Digital Marketing Essentials

Two days, 16 hours, classroom. Full fee S$981 including GST. Citizens and PRs aged 21 and over pay S$294.30; citizens aged 40 and over, or SME-sponsored employees, pay S$114.30.

At S$114 for two days this is the cheapest genuine entry point in this guide. Assessment is a two-hour written paper.

Vertical Institute Digital Marketing Bootcamp

21.5 hours across seven lessons plus an assessment, online or in person. Original fee S$1,650 before GST.

You are

You pay

Citizen aged 40+

S$643.50 (70% subsidy)

Citizen under 40, or PR

S$973.50 (50% subsidy)

Foreigners and work permit holders

S$1,798.50, no subsidy

Covers fundamentals, organic and paid social across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, SEO, Google Ads, email marketing and analytics, with hands-on work in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Canva and Semrush.

Entry requirements are stricter than the price suggests: aged 21 or over, basic computer literacy, a minimum of GCE N, O or A Level, NITEC or a diploma, two or more years of work experience, and demonstrable English proficiency.

Two things to know. Their own fee table contains an arithmetic slip on the unsubsidised row, so work from the nett figures. And they run several separate landing pages describing what is essentially this one bootcamp under different names, so do not treat those as different courses.

If You Want to Learn Online, Self-Paced

Google Digital Marketing and E-commerce Certificate

Eight courses, around six months at 10 hours a week, on Coursera. USD 49 per month after a seven-day free trial, so roughly USD 150 to 300 depending on how fast you work.

No prerequisites. Covers digital marketing and ecommerce fundamentals, SEO and SEM, social media, email, analytics, building and running an ecommerce store, customer loyalty and AI in marketing, with hands-on work in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Shopify, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Hootsuite and Canva.

The important correction: this is not SkillsFuture claimable when you buy it directly from Coursera. SkillsFuture Credit only works for courses listed on the MySkillsFuture portal and paid to an approved provider. Several Singapore comparison articles claim otherwise. Financial aid is available through Coursera itself.

The award is a professional certificate, not a diploma or degree.

NUS Digital Marketing: Strategies, Models and Frameworks

Online with Emeritus, four to six hours a week for three months. USD 2,000 before GST, USD 2,180 including it. No SkillsFuture funding is indicated.

The next run is listed as to be announced, so treat it as not currently scheduled. Note also that it is priced in US dollars, which is unusual for a course sold into Singapore and worth factoring into your comparison.

NUS Marketing Strategy in a Digital World

Four days, in person, next run 30 November 2026. S$5,722.50 including GST, falling to S$666.75 after maximum funding.

Aimed at senior marketers and general managers with marketing responsibility, framed around Asian markets. This is a strategy course for people who already run marketing, not a skills course.

The Polytechnic Route

Worth knowing about, because it is the cheapest full qualification available and most comparison articles skip it.

A polytechnic diploma is a full qualification from an Institute of Higher Learning, so it does carry the S$4,000 mid-career credit. Tuition is set by the Ministry of Education, so the rate is the same across the polytechnics. For the 2026 academic year, with the MOE Tuition Grant taken up:

You are

Full-time diplomas run three years, so a citizen aged 40 or over is looking at roughly S$6,500 in total for a recognised diploma. Note that permanent residents and international students who decline the Tuition Grant deed pay the full fee plus GST on the grant amount.

The part-time option worth knowing

Singapore Polytechnic runs a Specialist Diploma in Digital Content Marketing with SUSS, which is the most relevant part-time polytechnic route for a working marketer.

Twelve months, 240 hours, taught on weekday evenings from 7pm to 10pm, two evenings a week in the first semester and two to three in the second, blended with e-learning. Modules cover social media creation and management, video storytelling, digital content development, digital video content creation, and branding using social media, the last taught by SUSS.

You come out with a Singapore Polytechnic Specialist Diploma plus up to 30 credit units of advanced standing toward a SUSS Minor in Digital Content Marketing, so it stacks like the SUSS graduate route does. A work-study variant also exists.

The fee is not published on the course page; you have to register an interest to receive it.

We have not listed diploma names for the other polytechnics or undergraduate tuition for the universities, because we could not verify those to the same standard as everything else here. One structural point worth confirming rather than assuming: at NUS, NTU and SMU, marketing is normally a major or specialisation inside a business degree rather than a standalone marketing degree.

How to Choose

Five questions, in this order. The first one is the one that saves the most money.

Are you a Singapore citizen aged 40 or over? If so, check whether the course carries the S$4,000 mid-career credit before comparing anything else. Two courses with similar content can differ by thousands of dollars on this alone, and short courses generally do not qualify.

Do you need a qualification, or a skill? A WSQ Statement of Attainment from a two-day course and a Graduate Diploma from SUSS serve completely different purposes. If your goal is a promotion or a career change that HR will screen for, the certificate route may not carry the weight you need.

Can you attend in person, and when? This narrows the field faster than anything else. SUSS runs evenings and weekends by design. SMU’s Professional Certificate intake is fully online. NUS is in person at Kent Ridge. ASK offers a daytime and an evening route, though you should confirm which.

Are you stopping work? If yes, the training allowance on SCTP programmes is worth more than any tuition discount. Fifty per cent of your income up to S$3,000 a month changes the arithmetic completely.

Is the course scheduled? Two of the options here have no confirmed start date, and one provider has left the consumer market entirely while its course pages stay online. Check for an actual intake date before you plan around anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a digital marketing course cost in Singapore?

After subsidy, a two-day WSQ course runs from about S$115 to S$650. A multi-month professional certificate is around S$1,200 to S$3,100 depending on your age and residency. A career transition programme is roughly S$1,300 to S$6,300. Before subsidy those figures are between five and ten times higher.

Can I use SkillsFuture Credit for a marketing course?

The base S$500 credit works on any course listed on MySkillsFuture. The S$4,000 mid-career credit for citizens aged 40 and over is restricted to full qualifications, stackable modules, SCTP programmes and a few other categories, which excludes most short digital marketing courses.

Which marketing course is best for a complete beginner?

A two-day WSQ course to find out whether you enjoy the work, then a longer programme if you do. ASK Training’s Essentials course at S$114 after subsidy for citizens aged 40 and over is the lowest-risk way to start. Paying S$13,000 upfront to discover you dislike paid media is an expensive way to learn that.

Is there a part-time or evening marketing course in Singapore?

Yes. SUSS runs its Graduate Diploma on weekday evenings and at weekends. ASK Training offers an evening and Saturday route on its long programme. SMU Academy’s current Professional Certificate intake is fully online and synchronous. Most of the short WSQ courses are weekday daytime.

Do employers in Singapore recognise WSQ certificates?

WSQ is the national framework, so a Statement of Attainment is recognised. Whether it carries weight for a specific role is a different question. For a marketing executive job, demonstrated campaign work usually counts for more. For an HR screen that requires a qualification, an academic award from SUSS or a polytechnic is stronger.

Is the Google certificate on Coursera worth it?

As a low-cost, broad introduction, yes, and the hands-on work in real tools is genuinely useful. It is not SkillsFuture claimable bought directly, it is not a qualification, and it is not Singapore-specific. If you want local market context and funding, a WSQ course costs less after subsidy.

What happened to General Assembly in Singapore?

They concluded consumer operations, stopping new individual enrolments on 28 April 2026, and now sell AI training to enterprises. Their Singapore course pages remain online and indexed, with no scheduled dates.

Should I learn AI marketing tools or fundamentals first?

Fundamentals, but the gap is closing. Several courses here now teach both together, including the NUS SCTP programme, Equinet’s AI-Enabled Digital Marketer, and SUSS’s generative AI and prompt engineering courses. A tool you cannot brief is not much use.

After the Course

Training gives you the frameworks. Running a campaign with real budget is where the learning sticks, and most people finish a course knowing what to do without having done it.

If you want to see how this work runs at scale, our digital marketing, SEO and Google Ads pages cover what we do for Singapore businesses. For the topics themselves, see our guides to building a digital marketing strategy and Google Ads campaign types.

Fees and intakes change. Everything here was checked on 30 September 2026 against each provider’s own published pages, and you should confirm the current figure with the provider before enrolling.
